Why is there mold on my canned apple sauce when all the jars are sealed?

A likely issue would be air is getting into the cans. If they are commercially prepared and the seal is leaking the center of the lid will not be indented. If they are home "canned" in glass jars the rubber seal may be bad. In either case throw them out. Canned apples from commercial sources last about a year. If they are home canned you may not have heated up the apple sauce to a high enough temperature when you made it. You need to bring it to a slow boil to be sure you kill the mold spores that remained after you washed the apples.
