Traffic Homicide

Hello Becky,

Homicide is the killing of one human being by another human being.

Factor into the equation "traffic", I'm assuming you mean vehicular, where the instrument and proximate cause of the death is vehicle related.

The range of issues involving traffic fatalities is substantial, from criminal......through and including civil actions.

The considerations may include: murder, manslaughter, accidental, negligence, mechanical, external conditions, etc.

You may want to consult Black's law dictionary, if you need an exact definition.

But in my view, "traffic homicide" is a bit generic, or vague in terms of all else that could be involved in the incident.

Hope this is helpful.
