Spinal Tap Error By Er Doctor

Postby Leander » Fri Dec 09, 2016 1:47 am

About 5 years ago an ER doctor gave me a spinal tap for severe headache complaints.  The containers that contained the spinal fluid were put in the incorrect order so another spinal tap was needed.  This lead to a hospital stay and more procedures.  I did not initially file suit because I did not have any adverse symptoms from the procedures.  Now, I have lower back problems several times a year.  Is it too late to file suit?

I'm not a lawyer or expert in the law, but more than likely, yes, it's too late to file a lawsuit.  Also know that more than likely it's too late, but medical malpractice is very difficult to actually prove.  You should speak to a lawyer, good luck and I'm sorry about your back.
