Slip/fall

Postby Wevers » Tue Nov 29, 2016 5:37 am

I slipped on the front steps at a casino in Colorado. It had been raining and the stairs were wet,it was also closing time at the casino and the lighting was dim-as if the had started turning out the lights. I was about to step down from landing onto the first step and slipped, I caught myself and did not fall completely to the ground. There is a witness and there are video cameras located in front of the casino as well. I was seen by an Orthopedic doctor later that day and was found to have dislocated my right shoulder and to have torn ligaments.  I was referred to physical therapy and prescribed pain medication.  May need future surgery depending on outcome of PT.

I filed an incident report with the casino and have also initiated a claim with their insurance company.  I have spoken with the representative a couple of times and during the last conversation he told me that if I had anything I'd like to fax over for consideration that I could.

Any advice?

Slip/fall

You may want to contact an experienced local attorney where this happened. Was this an Indian Casino....if so tribal law may apply.

In general slip and fall lawsuits are difficult, and it could be difficult for you to find an attorney who will take the case unless it turns out that you need surgery.

Good Luck.
