Recordable Injuries

Postby Troy » Sun Nov 27, 2016 2:03 pm

What is the definition of a recordable injury as per OSHA standards. Medical aid with treatment? Lost time?

Medical aid no treatment?

I would like to know how to record the injuries for statistical purposes.

Recordable Injuries

:  Cherienne, the following are a links to web pages that will begin to answer your questions:http://www.osha.gov/recordkeeping/handbook/index.htmlhttp://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_table=STANDARDS&p_id=963...http://www.cbs.state.or.us/external/osha/pdf/recordquestions.pdf

As you will note after reviewing these, there is not a simple answer to your questions and in fact usually one answer leads to many more questions.  Hopefully this will give you a starting point for a very complex subject.  Also note, these apply only to locations in the United States that are under OSHA.
