You would need to make sure your articles of incorporation and bylaws comply with the regulations for 501(c)(3) organizations for the IRS. In order to receive donations that are deductible, a nonprofit
organization must have articles of organization,(either articles of incorporation, articles of association or a trust document, depending upon the type of entity) and those articles of

Then you would apply to the IRS for their exemption determination that yours is a 501(c)(3) organization. The IRS has information about that at https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/applying-for-tax-exempt-status
