Purchasing Patent Rights

Postby Coyle » Mon Dec 12, 2016 1:15 pm

Marty--do you know of any message boards where people look to purchase patents or patent rights? I have a product that has been in patent-pending for about a year and a half. I had the patent search professionally done and I know there is nothing else even close to it on the market. I've scored high in all the feasibility tests and have personally done market research at many different levels. It is extremely simple and would cost practically nothing to manufacture. It's a simple bathroom accessory that attaches to the toilet paper holder which allows the roll to be inserted and removed easily in about 1 to 2 seconds. I've spoken to a major bathroom accessories manufacturer, factory reps, large wholesale and retail chains, customers and consumers. My problem is that I have two jobs and not enough money or time to put into it anymore. I still owe my lawyer and am thinking, if possible, I would like to sell my patent rights to get out from underneath this. I truly believe that, in the right hands, this would be a terrific product. By the way, I am not a dreamer--I know the odds and feasiblily of most products in the marketplace, but I have received nothing but good responses from everyone. I actually set out to find people who don't like my product and, so far, haven't found one. Any ideas you could spare?

Thanks--Jeff

Purchasing Patent Rights

Jeff ~

If you have an idea or invention, that means that you're thinking in the perfect mentality to help human beings start to share ideas and just simply have a deep talk about this particular idea and it‘s potential for impact.  Now, you do not need to go to a lawyer, you do not need to get a patent attorney, you NEVER need to go to an Invention Submission company.  All you need is inside of you.  If you relate your idea in enough deeply-impactful ways to people then you can give life to your vision.  Does that make sense?  Let me explain.  Anyone that asks me a question, I share with them the same vision.  I'm going to use a prismatic view of invention to answer any question.  I'd like to share something with you.  There are evolved and more ethical ways of helping ideas turn into products, processes, services, evolutions in thought, paradigm shifts, etc.  The way it's done now is hard and confusing which I‘d guess you are now experiencing to some degree.  Not knowing where to go, or who to talk to, a little frustration, and you idea is just wondering, not really getting far.  At this point in 2004, the problem exists that “the little guy” inventor is at a disadvantage because a company could just take your idea and profit from it edging the inventor out.  This current process is flawed and we intend to fix it.  I would be happy to talk with you about your innovative ideas.  I love to share in invention conversation with people! We'll see if you can help me with a few ideas that I have also!  Blessed souls inventing Humanistic Synergy.  Think about it.  It's beautiful.  Altruistic Ventures is here to help human beings comprehend the passion of invention.  Ethically, purely, and most importantly…TOGETHER. It is kind-of a complicated process to take something from mind to market, however NEVER think it's impossible for you to do it!  There normally is monetary investment to patent your idea however if you do a great job at motivating the right people they(or the company that they work for) might pay for the process.  We are designing a way to do just this.  Strategic introductions.  But for now go to www.uspto.gov and do a search for your idea.  Most companies are open to ideas but you need to interact with them in an intelligent way understanding the potential impact of your ideas on their direct marketplace.  If you think you are a player, you are.  Know every facet, every cause and every effect of your idea.

So where to go from here?  You need the best information.  Try this:  At this point you get to question and powerfully think about your idea and what it would “look like” if it was in existence tomorrow.  What impact would it make on people?  What kind of ripples in “the pond” ~(life) would it make?  Write the answers to these questions in your inventors notebook.  Next, I think that you need to do some discovery thinking and then act on it to find and meet people in the industry your particular new service is in.  Research them and find the person who stands out to you in your gut.  This can be your first contact.  Just simply go talk to them.  Don't tell them everything of course.  Tell them enough to inspire them so they can help you.  Or even better is to talk with friends of your friends that you trust, find pristine people.  Try to find a friend that your friend knows that in that business that your invention is in.  Get to the "REAL" information.  Not what some lawyer tells you.  Not what some company that only wants to steal your money, your idea, and your passion tells you.  NO! You should find out for yourself...personally, or by the degrees of separation.  Talk, talk, talk….  Find people that would know the answer to your directed question.  An ethical exchange of passion and discovery.  Don't worry about anyone stealing your idea.  What I recommend is that you go to Best Buy and purchase a digital recorder to record the conversation anytime you tell someone about your idea.   They‘re also great to record thoughts of your ideas and inventions and your life. The best place for you to go is this.  Go to www.marketlaunchers.com The guy that runs it is one of my friends, his name is Paul Nieman.  Tell him I sent you.

Please email me, we'll talk. Share with me how it's going.   I have many pristine friends, that are of this new vision of invention that can help us.  This is your idea, this is your adventure.  We can help you create the thinking process that it takes to further your idea and what you believe in.  Take care of yourself and others…
