Mirena Causing Infertility

Postby tsubasa » Wed Nov 23, 2016 12:25 pm

I had the mirena put in 6weeks after my daughter was born. Then had it removed because it caused bleeding the whole time it was in which was 4 months. I now suffer from ovarian cysts every month and can no longer get pregnant. Before the mirena I was regular and my periods were mild and didn't bother me. Ever since I had it removed I have had so many problems. I'm only 23 years old with no infertility in my family on either sides. I'm wondering if I have a lawsuits to persue againts the manufactures of the mirena. The cysts I can deal with. Not being able to get pregnant after 2 years of trying I cant. My first and only child was conceived only 5 months after stooping my birth control pills.  So I know before the mirena I was fertile.

Mirena Causing Infertility

I am not a doctor but do have lots of background with IUD cases and the problems they cause. To my knowledge, IUDs have nothing to do with ovarian cysts.  IUDs caused infections or they beoome embedded in the uterine wall or they even perforate the wall or they just fail to work. Cysts are unrelated.  You don't say what is making you unable to get pregnant.  Unless you have a medical evaluation to find out what the problem is, there is no way to blame the Mirena or anything else.  So, do a medical workup to find out what the problem is, if you are wanting to get pregnant again already.  In any event, to my knowledge again there are no cases pending against the Mirena manufacturer and there is no way of proceeding legally unless there are hundreds or thousands of other women who all join in a class action. Check the web for such a class action but I do not know of any.  Good luck
