Louis Rastetter Folding Chair

Postby Vipponah » Sun Nov 20, 2016 2:25 pm

My brother-in-law bought a Louis Rastetter folding chair at a flea market for $20. It is made of Cherry, has arms, black leather seat and on the back it's engraved with the name Bradshaw. Can you tell me when this chair was made and what it might be worth. They do not have the internet. Patent # 1727115 1693349

Thank you

Louis Rastetter Folding Chair

Rastetter manufactured folding chairs and tables 1920-40 in Fort Wayne, IN. one line was called Solid Kumfort.   they were in wood dand in metal.

since they made folding furniture for schools and churches it is possible the name on the back was a retail company or dedication.

the chair is worth what he paid, a set of 4 with table would sell at 150 a set of 4 chairs at 100.
