Gold Shots

Postby Jasmin » Wed Nov 30, 2016 12:32 am

My 77 year old father died August 2008 of lung cancer he took gold shots for approximately 10 years he felt better then he had in years my dad suffered from bad rheumatoid arthritis. He had a rheumatologist that had prescribed them & he also took a blood test every month he also had a lung specialist who he saw once every 6 months because he had asthma in 2006 he was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia & the doctor there said the gold flakes had formed a lump in his lungs & to stop the gold shots. He had pneumonia again in 2008 this time had a biopsy done. We where we were told that not enough cells were collected for diagnosis. My father got worse & in July 2008 was admitted to the hospital where we found out that he had end stage lung cancer & the doctor insisted that we knew all about it since Jan. We live in Canada & not sure where to look for the answers I hope you can help

Gold Shots

Firstly, I have never heard of gold shots before. This sounds to me like some very unconventional/alternative medicine.  I am not clear whether you suspect that the gold had something to do with the pneumonia and/or the cancer. I would have no idea in any event without doing some research. If you do some research and learn that the gold shots are implicated in lung cancer cases, that might be something to pursue. On the other hand, the Canadian legal system in regards to medical malpractice is not wide open like it is in the US. I am not even sure you have a legal right to sue a doctor unless the malpractice was extremely eggregious where the doctor purposely harmed the patient, was drunk, whatever. Tell me more about gold therapy and I might have some further thoughts.
