Given that the purpose of technology is to save labour and we labour to earn our bread is the system flawed?

As a result of saving the cost of labour the business world has amassed 2 trillion dollars in unspent money in their pocket this means goods and services to that amount have not been consumed therefore the labour required has not been employed therefore not paid therefore not paid therefore cannot consume therefore we produce less therefore we need less labor If the Paulian law "he that doth not work neither shall he eat" is applied the capitalist system will not work ever particularly the smarter we become

Look into the automatic economic system designed by Jacque Fresco.

As automation increases unemployment increases.

Eventually, just as the government will be eliminated, most if not all jobs with be automated.

That law is only applicable in a civilization of anthropoids that has not full evolved technologically. Meaning, that it is true in our world of the unevolved. Many consent to labor, when they could construe information needed to create automation.

You have put your big toe on it. Employers hate the workforce that wants wages, paid hols, maternity and paternity leave, sick pay, health insurance, a safe working environment, security of employment (No unfair dismissals) union representation, the list is endless. Let's rid ourselves of pain in the butt workers and put in robots. Profits soared but workers had no wages to buy the stupid products from the stupid ex employers and the employers told the government to give unemployment benefit to the unemployed to buy our stupid products but don't tax us to raise the money to hand out, tax the unemployed from the benefits but not too much, leave some to but our stupid products like cell phnoes and video games and iPads and slide-show picture frames and postage stamp screens to watch movies- What? The robots have formed a trade union? Aaaarrrgghh.

I wonder where all those trillions $$$ are? Whoever has them ought to try eating bread for a while and sweat more for it. Anyways, I believe we are entering a new age where money itself won't be a reality anymore. It's already disappearing into the digital neverland. I'm not an economist so can't go any further, sorry.
