For damages of stress and repeated phone calls, is that enough to sue for slander?

If lies about adultery were stressing you out and getting you repeated calls from a confused wife, would it be worth filing a lawsuit over. If the person being sued had very little money

If they have very little money what do you think you are going to get out of suing them?

If you wife is saying to you that you are cheating it isn't slander. No third party is involved.

What financial damages can you prove were caused by this stress? You would only be reimbursed for counseling sessions or missed work attributed directly to this.

Also, you would have to prove that the woman knows it's a lie. If she honestly believes you're sleeping with her husband, then she's not slandering you.

And if the person has no money, what are you going to sue them for anyway? Just file a police report for harassment or have her number blocked. Problem solved.
