I've married after converting by changing my name but want to get back my maiden name as all my documents have the same and is it possible to register our marriage to special marriage as already registered in hindu marriage.

Dear Nafisa

As you have already registered your marriage under the Hindu Marriage Act, it is not possible for you to again register under the Special Marriages Act. Yes, you can go back to your maiden name. Only thing is that you will need to follow all the procedures required for name change including the publication in official gazette and also publication in the news papers.
