Postby Ernestino » Sun Dec 04, 2016 5:56 pm

All I see on this gun is N.R. Davis & Sons

AJAX

Davis Warner Arms Corp. Norwich, Conn.

I think it is a 16 Gauge Double Barrel Shotgun.  Can you give me any information on this gun?

Hi David,

Davis, N.R. & Co. ----- Davis, N.R. & Sons ---- Davis-Warner Arms Corp.

They were the manufacture of both percussion and cartridge shotguns from 1853 to 1919. The cartridge shotguns had the patented improvements of 1879, 1884 and 1886. They were made in only plain, serviceable grades.

The Davis-Warner Arms Corp. of Norwich, Connecticut was established in 1917 when the N.R. Davis & Sons purchased the Warner Arms Co. They manufactured shotguns as well as revolvers and semi-auto pistols. They discontinued operations in 1930.

The Ajax in "good" condition has a retail value of approximately $200 - $300.

Thanks for the question David.
